W32 Beagle Virus

An official looking message may appear to come from EWOL with a return email of support@, administrator@, etc. The subject of these messages range from notification that your service is being disconnected, to a virus warning or other service issue. The email will ask you to download a file onto your computer and will contain a password that has to be used to access the file.

DO NOT OPEN OR INSTALL this file. Delete the message. This is one of the latest virus threats. The perpetrator is sending encrypted zip files that contain the virus in order to bypass virus protection programs.

If you have opened this file, your system is infected with a variant of the W32 Beagle Virus and you will need to run a virus scan to determine which variant you have. You will then need to download the appropriate removal tool to remove the virus from your system.
