The Sasser Worm targets users of Windows XP and Windows 2000 by exploiting a flaw in Windows Operating Systems. The Sasser Worm spreads via the internet. You do not have to download anything to become infected with this worm. If your system is infected, you may notice that your internet connection and computer experience a significant slowdown. Your computer may also restart on its own, or it may display a series of error messages or other bizarre behavior. The solution is a 2-step process which requires you to run the Sasser Removal tool and install a Windows Update Patch. We recommend you download both the Removal tool and the Windows patch before you attempt to remove the worm. After you have downloaded both items, stay offline until after you have removed the worm from your system and you have installed the Windows update.
